About UsThe kennel "z Helf¹týnského panství" was registered in 1996 at FCI and ÈMKU. Our first litter took place on December 6th 1996 – it happened to be Shiba boys: AIKIDO LEE (later on the ”daddy” of our breed, now unfortunately dead) and AKAMORI LEE (lives in Belgium). Their parents were the bitch ICHIDÓ del Monte (called Lucka [pronounced ”Lootska”] – 4 months old on the picture) and the male dog Zen’s YOJIMBO As Áras An Úachtarain. Nine months later three more puppies were born by the same Lucka, two of them being coloured black and tan (as a matter of fact, they were the first black and tan puppies born in the Czech Republic). In her third litter Lucka again had a black and tan puppy. Meanwhile we only have bitches: BAKUCHI Doubravecký vrch, ZENJI del Monte de Haya and JOYÚ NISHIKI z Helf¹týnského panství. Also the bitch EBI z H.p. belongs to us, who lives no longer at our home, but still belongs to our kennel. (Read here.) From 1995 until 2002 we also bred another Japanese breed – the Akita Inu (after the splitting of the Akita in two breeds the Great Japanese Dog - GJD). Nowadays we are devoted to the Shiba exclusively.
Our NameWhere does our name "z Helf¹týnského panství" ("from the
Helfenstein manor") come from? The borough
Par¹ovice in Moravia where we live is about
8 km away from the Helf¹týn (Helfenstein) castle. In the years 1371 – 1848
the castle was in the possession of the Helfenstein gentry (see also

ShibaShibas are my great love. And this not only because of their attractive appearance – in their character I have found all the traits that I expect from a dog: independence, cleverness, frugality, durability, flexibility, love for man, sense of humour ... (more)
